Im back again for some more blogging - finally! I was so busy this past week getting organised for a local craft fair today and now i can breathe and relax a bit and do some more blogging! The fair went ok, i sold a few bits - not a huge amount but considering not many people turned up and it was chucking it down all day i was lucky to sell anything at all really. Isnt it typical about the weather though - it hasnt rained for weeks and then today of all days! There were quite a few people at the end that didnt seem to have sold anything and i was just grateful i covered the cost of my table and made some profit aswell. Ive got quite a few bits and pieces left over so im going to redo my misi shop and list them all. Then my shop will have a bigger variety of items and prices, with a nice range of different accessories. Im quite excited to get started actually, though i think i'll embark on that a bit later, im exhausted now! Here are some pics of the table at the fair - i had a selection of crocheted scarves, some ribbon and fabric corsages, glitter ribbon necklaces, felt pansy brooches and handmade fabric boxes:

The pictures dont really do them justice as the lighting wasnt that great in the hall, but i'll be posting some cleaer pictures of them on here when i list them in my store. MISI MARVELS

Roses are red......and yellow, and pink, and orange, and brown, and purple, and white.....

As you might have guessed this weeks Misi Marvels theme is going to be...."ROSES". I love roses - my favourites being yellow ones. I also like blue ones, but sadly they dont exist naturally! - however, in the world of creativity and crafting you can find them in any colour. They are found in abundance in vintage fabrics and designs, in jewellery, paintings and sculpture. Ive put together a selection of items Ive found all featuring the rose, I hope you like them. I think this has been my favourite MM so far as I just loved browsing the search results and have found some truly beautiful items! So lets begin with all things rosey....

This beautiful and exquisite "tattered rose statement" bib necklace by cocoangelrose. 

I love this delicate vintage inspired bracelet of green porcelain roses, made by magpies.

These polymer clay roses are a lovely deep red and look great with the glass beads and filigree leaves on this charm bracelet from enchanted handmade jewellery.

Thats the selection for my 'roses' theme this week, hope you've enjoyed seeing my finds as much as i did choosing them. Again there is so much talent on Misi there are always more than I can feature in one post, but I thnk ive managed to pull together a good selection. Im now off to continue preparing for my craft fair in a week today! eeeek! Visited Hobby Craft today and thursday and had to resist buying half the shop again :). Haven't had much time for blogging this week as Ive been working flat out for a craft fair I have in(ok this is going to sound like I still have quite a lot of time, but oh well), a week saturday. Now I know thats still over a week away but these things take muuuch more preparation than you'd think. Ive decided Im going to have a table with several different crafts on so there is a range of prices, so Ive been using up the beautiful Indian ribbon leftovers from my crocheted loopy scarves, and have made some lovely loopy corsages. (me and loops, honestly lol.) Im really pleased with them, the only trouble is working out what to price them at...its easy to want to try and get as much as poss from them but its only a church craft fair so the visitors wont be coming with pockets-full, so i think i might opt for the middle ground and have 'reasonably cheap' prices. That way maybe, just maybe people might be tempted to buy more! :) So yes Im working away at making corsages, Ive stabbed myself with a needle 3 times today (and narrowly missed spraying blood all over a corsage I was just finishing), but at least I have quite a bit now for the table. Some people really had better attend after all my efforts lol! Will be posting some pics of the corsages soon; if they dont sell Im going to put them up on my Misi shop methinks...

MISI MARVELS

Time for another misi marvels entry I think, don't the weeks go by quickly? This week's theme is RAINBOWS. As it's highly appropriate to my shop and concept and just generally the fact that I love all things colourful, i just couldn't not have this theme at some point! Craft Juice

I have just decided to take the plunge and join Craft Juice, another website where you can promote your crafts for free! All you have to do is register then you can upload pics from a website like flickr, or from your own website, with a link back to the item on your site. Theres lots of work on there from people on misi, folksy, etsy and others, and people can vote and comment on each others work. There are several categories for people to search for particular products in aswell. It seems like a really good idea so i would definitely recommend registering if you haven't already, another bit of free promotion is always a good thing! Already ive spotted some things i really like on there so i think i might do a craftjuice blog entry on here sometimes to show some of my finds. This is so much fun im now totally addicted to blogging. :)

WOODLAND....

Here is one of the latest to my collection of scarves:

A creation inspired by the rich colours you find in a woodland on a beautiful sunny spring morning: "WOODLAND", has been crocheted in a rather exotic mix of yarns and ribbon, in lovely 'woodland' colours....greens, browns, orange and gold.

The fluffy knitting yarn makes it feel soft and warm with a combination of long furry strands of moss green, and rainbow 'eyelash' tufts. Its rather funky and stylish and the combination of textures is uniquely chosen by me.

Also in this combination of textures is "Cinnamon Fizz", in a mix of mauve, marigold and brown with a gorgeous pink glitter in the centre of the ribbon.
